Stars are a lie
Ask someone to rate a coffee out of ten and they'll stall. Was that an 8? An 8.5? What does 8.5 even mean? But ask them which of two coffees was better and they'll answer instantly — and they'll be right.
That's the whole idea behind Rungs.
Two cards. One tap.
Make a ladder for anything you care about. Coffee shops. Albums of the year. Every city you've been to. Pizza.
Add something and Rungs shows you two cards — the new thing and something already on your ladder — and asks which is better. Three or four taps later it has landed in its exact place, with a score out of ten that comes from where it actually sits rather than a number you guessed.
It's a binary search underneath, so a ladder of a hundred things still only takes about four taps. Add one more and everything around it re-settles.

There is no account. There is no sign-in. There is no server.
Rungs never sends your rankings anywhere, because there is nowhere to send them. Everything lives on your device and works in airplane mode. We don't collect analytics, we don't have a login, and we couldn't read your ladders if we wanted to.
