Privacy Policy
Rungs · Updated 16 August 2026
Rungs has no account, no sign-in, and no server. Your rankings never leave your device, because there is nowhere for them to go.
What we collect
Nothing. Rungs contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are, that you installed the app, or what you put in it.
Where your data lives
Everything you create — your ladders, the things you rank, your notes, and any photos you attach — is stored in a database on your own device.
If you have iCloud Backup switched on, your device's backup may include Rungs data, the same way it includes data from your other apps. That backup is between you and Apple; we have no access to it.
Photos
If you attach a photo to something you rank, Rungs copies that image into its own storage on your device. It asks iOS only for the specific image you pick, and never reads the rest of your library.
Purchases
Rungs Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account. The app asks iOS a single yes-or-no question — has this device purchased Rungs Pro? — and keeps that answer locally. Apple's side of it is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Sharing
When you export a share card, Rungs draws the image on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is entirely your choice, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you send it.
Children
Rungs is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Since we collect no data at all, we collect no data from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Because the app collects nothing, we don't expect it to change in any meaningful way.
