Check that the target app is actually playing sound and the system volume is not muted.
Check that Parrovo is allowed under System Settings, Privacy & Security, Screen & System Audio Recording. Reopen Parrovo after changing the setting.
A few apps do not hand their audio to the system capture interface. Switch to ambient sound and let the microphone hear the speakers.
Almost always this means Parrovo was not moved into Applications. macOS runs a quarantined app from a read-only temporary location, and its window cannot appear there. Open the disk image, drag Parrovo onto the Applications folder beside it, and launch it from there.
Parrovo 0.2 and later detect this and tell you. On an earlier build, just move it to Applications and reopen.
Parrovo is not from the Mac App Store, so macOS confirms once on first launch. Choose Open. The download is notarized by Apple.
You are billed for audio actually sent, so pauses and silence cost nothing. Speaking the translation aloud uses credit four times faster.
Sign in with Alipay and your hours belong to that account, shared between the Mac app and the browser extension.
Hours bought without signing in are tied to this device and may be lost on a reinstall, so sign in first.
